github key already in use
If you are trying to add an SSH key to your GitHub account and you receive an error message saying that the key is already in use, it means that the key you are trying to add is already associated with another GitHub account.
To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:
- Check if the key is associated with any other GitHub account that you may have created in the past. If you find any, try removing the key from that account and then add it to your current account.
- If the key is not associated with any other GitHub account, it is possible that someone else may have access to the key. In that case, you should consider generating a new key pair and adding it to your GitHub account.
- If you are using the same key pair on multiple machines, make sure that you have not added the same key to another GitHub account from a different machine.
- If none of the above steps work, you can contact GitHub support for further assistance.
Remember to keep your SSH key secure and do not share it with anyone else.
